The Situation
The demand for high quality executive coaches
in Asia is growing rapidly as organizations discover the potential returns. The
number of trained coaches is also growing, but the new coaches may be hard to
find or hard to assess due to the immaturity of their businesses. Organizations
require coaches with industry and role specializations and local language
skills.

Recent Cases

A
large multi-national corporation was seeking coach-trainers to deliver group
coaching programs to their entry-level managers in Greater China. The
coach-trainers were required to learn, adapt and deliver a program
originally developed in Europe. The corporation required Putonghua and
English language skills, management experience, coaching experience, dynamic
personalities and well-grounded confidence. After joint assessment of eight
coach-trainers, three were selected. After 8 months of work, the client
is satisfied with the calibre of the coaches and the project is showing
excellent results.

The
greater China office of a mid-sized multi-national corporation required
executive coaches for three of their senior managers in order to follow-up
on a recent 360 degree assessment process. Six coaches were introduced and
two were selected.
