The Harrison Assessments are an excellent tool for accelerating and deepening your self-awareness in relation to career and leadership development. The Assessments provide detailed information on your personal traits, strengths, preferences, paradoxes and inconsistencies.  I love their very positive theoretical basis, the strong scientific validity, the practical flexibility, and the ease of use. Most of all I'm impressed by the depth of insight they provide.

Why should I use Harrison Assessments?

How does it work? 

We make all of our choices in life based on our preferences. Those choices become our personal strengths, weaknesses, motivations and behaviours. For example, if you prefer to spend a lot of time talking to people, you'll do it a lot, you'll get good at it, get compliments for your people skills and be seen as a 'people-person'. 

In the HA Questionnaire, you will rate your preferences for over 100 different criteria. The Assessments then indicate your communication styles, leadership styles, work styles, motivations and correlate all of these with the success traits of specific careers or job functions. The Assessments give you a completely customized description of you without using any types or categories to pigeon-hole. All results and correlations are based on solid research and proven methods. 

The HA Questionnaire asks you to prioritize lists of criteria. It's a simple process, taking approximately half an hour to complete. 

Is it possible to cheat on the questionnaire?

If anyone tries to cheat or rig the results, the system will detect a high level of inconsistency and reject the questionnaire. This lie-detecting feature is made possible through cross-correlation of results and could only be avoided with extreme effort by someone who knew the system thoroughly.

How can I use Harrison Assessments for developing my management and leadership skills?

The Harrison Assessments will give you specific, neutral, valid feedback on over 100 different traits, particularly in the areas of interpersonal, achievement and leadership skills. This information could otherwise takes years to discover. The traits are assessed in combinations to paint a complete picture of you, not just looking at single traits in isolation.

1)  The BASIC CAREER PACKAGE identifies what type of career would best suit you. The package includes: 

  • The Career Development Report describes your preferences, strengths, motivations and interests in relationship to careers
  • The Career Options Report rates your suitability to 600 different careers
  • The Career Comparison Report describes you in relationship to a specific career
  • 45-minute telephone coaching session 

Cost: HK$1500 (US$190)
Additional Career Comparison Reports cost HK$195 for two. (US$35)

2)  The CAREER CHANGE PACKAGE gives insight into your career performance potential and what will satisfy you.  You'll discover how your personal preferences work together to create your strengths, weaknesses, motivations and behaviours, and how they all affect your career. You'll gain insight into why you run your life the way you do and what exactly you could do differently to get different results. The package includes:

  • Paradox Graph and Narrative -illustrates and describes your scores on 24 paradoxical success traits (that seem to be opposite but in fact work together, such as frankness and diplomacy) in a vivid, easy to understand format. 

  • The Traits and Definitions Report shows your score on over 100 different traits and preferences as they relate to your chosen job function. 

  • In addition, these reports can be correlated to your job function to give you an indication of the difference between your traits and those of the most successful people in that job function. 

  • The Career Options Report rates your suitability to 600 different careers

  • One hour telephone coaching session

3)  The MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT PACKAGE gives insight into your management performance potential and how to develop yourself. You'll discover how your personal preferences work together to create your strengths, weaknesses, motivations and behaviours, and how they all affect your management style. You'll gain insight into why you run your department the way you do and what exactly you could do differently to get different results. The package includes comprehensive and in depth analysis on your traits, the ability to rate your suitability for different job functions and one-on-one coaching to ensure your understanding and implementation of changes. You'll receive the following reports:

  • Paradox Graph and Narrative -illustrates and describes your scores on 24 paradoxical success traits (that seem to be opposite but in fact work together, such as frankness and diplomacy) in a vivid, easy to understand format.

  • The Main Graph represents graphically the interaction between 36 different traits. With expert interpretation, the Main Graph is a powerful tool for understanding how you operate, what you want and what you might develop about yourself to get different results. 

  • Written Interpretation of your Main Graph report 

  • Position Comparison - Behavioural Impact Graph -a graphic representation of your suitability for a specific job function. You can choose graphs for as many job functions as you want. 

  • Interview Guide -insightful questions to help you raise your self-awareness and prepare for job interviews

  • Development Report -a step-by-step guide to developing yourself for a specific job function 

  • One 90-minute in-person coaching session or three 45-minute telephone coaching sessions

To be assessed, all you need to do is:

1) Request the link to the on-line questionnaire by sending a blank email . Complete the questionnaire on-line. It takes about half an hour.

2) Let me know which reports you want and how you would like to pay. Payment can be made by Hong Kong cheque or money order, direct deposit, bank transfer or PayPal using your credit card. If you need help deciding, please give me a call. 

3) I will email you an invoice and once I have received payment I will supply the reports by email and contact you to arrange our coaching session(s).
